Basketball Game Preview: Van Bulldogs vs. Tug Valley Panthers

The Van Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Tug Valley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Van is looking for their season's first win.

Van is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Meadow Bridge last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Van had to suffer through a 47-7 loss at the hands of Meadow Bridge. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-0.

Van's loss came about despite a quality game from Brailynn McCarty, who posted four points.

While Tug Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Man 68-13 on Friday. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Tug Valley and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Van, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Van was taken down by Tug Valley 76-29 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Van avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
