After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seekonk, Case was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Westport Wildcats, sneaking past 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Case's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Kern, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Kern's first of the season.

The win got Case back to even at 3-3. As for Westport, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Case will face off against Greater New Bedford RVT at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Westport has already played their next match (against Belmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
