Basketball Recap: Deerfield Drops Season-High Score on Rolla

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deerfield). They took down the Rolla Pirates 74-57 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-37 last Thursday.

Deerfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adriel Clymer out in front who went 8 of 17 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds. Michael Lira was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.

Deerfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Deerfield now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Rolla, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Moscow the next time they take the court. Rolla will head out to face Moscow on Monday, while Deerfield will host them on Thursday.
