Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Kailyn Kline and Alex White

If Notre Dame Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Green Bay Southwest on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tritons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bay Port Pirates on Thursday. The Tritons haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 25-14, 25-15.

Alex White and Kailyn Kline certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. White had 13 digs and one assist, while Kline had six digs and five aces. Kline has been hot recently, having also posted 18 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Leading Bay Port to victory were Madison Lebeau and Ayla Colombo. Lebeau had six digs and four aces, while Colombo had nine digs. Keira Lynch also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-25. As for Bay Port, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-7.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame Academy will welcome Green Bay West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bay Port does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
