Softball Recap: Krum Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Krum, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Lake Dallas Falcons on Thursday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Addison Martindale, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Lake Dallas off the board. Martindale has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jazmine Jackson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Tucker, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Krum pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.2 runs. As for Lake Dallas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Krum Bobcats face off against Panther Creek Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Panther Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Lake Dallas, they will face off against Ranchview at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Lake Dallas also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 7.3 runs per game.
