Volleyball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Kewanee Boilermakers. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Boilermakers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Leading Kewanee to victory were Claire Taylor and Isabelle Vargas. Taylor had six aces and two assists, while Vargas had six assists. That's the most assists Taylor has posted since back in October of 2024.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Kewanee, the victory got them back to even at 12-12-1.

Peoria has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Erie-Prophetstown on the 11th. As for Kewanee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Knoxville on the 11th.
