The matchup between Piper and Pompano Beach on Wednesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bengals had just enough and edged out the Golden Tornadoes 5-4. The high-scoring effort was just what Piper needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

They hit Pompano Beach with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fritz Duclosy (2), Kervens Athis (2), and Richard Jean Pierre.

Piper's victory bumped their record up to 2-3-2. As for Pompano Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Piper will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against South Plantation at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Piper will be up against South Plantation's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pompano Beach, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hallandale at 5:00 p.m. on December 1.
