St. Stephens has gone 6-1 against West Iredell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times St. Stephens and East Lincoln have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Indians fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 7-6. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, West Iredell hadn't done well against St. Stephens recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Indians 3-2.

Talen Caton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because West Iredell is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-12 otherwise.

At the plate, West Iredell let Austin Arrowood and Xavierous Glaspy run wild. Arrowood went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while Glaspy went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Arrowood has become a key player for West Iredell: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 6-12 otherwise.

St. Stephens' loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for West Iredell, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
