Volleyball Recap: Monterey's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Monterey lost against Midland Legacy back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Plainsmen came up short against the Rebels, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to the Plainsmen's undefeated start to the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-15.

Gabbi Garcia paced Monterey's offense, picking up five kills. Garcia got some help from Emerson Satterfield and her 11 assists. Satterfield was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Monterey fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Monterey will take on Dumas at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midland Legacy, they will be taking part in a tournament against West Plains at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
