Recap: Arcanum Trojans vs. Newton Local Indians
The Arcanum Trojans won the last time they faced the Newton Local Indians, and things went their way on Thursday too. Arcanum walked away with a 48-36 win over Newton Local. The win made it back-to-back wins for Arcanum.
Arcanum got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexis Gibbons out in front who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Gibbons has scored at least 25% of Arcanum's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Miller, who scored 18 points.
Arcanum's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Newton Local, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Arcanum will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Minster at 7:30 p.m. As for Newton Local, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri-County North at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
