Soccer Recap: Pompano Beach Takes a Loss

Pompano Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Deerfield Beach Bucks. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Bucks are ranked 136th).

Pompano Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Deerfield Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Pompano Beach didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Nova on the 10th. Deerfield Beach has also already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Mater Academy Charter on the 10th.
