The Wiggins Tigers will face off against the Highland Huskies at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wiggins is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Wiggins had taken Wray down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Tigers lost 15-5 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Eagles since April 12, 2022.

Isaac Flores was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Cash Pape was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Highland had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Rams.

Sawyer Morgan was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double.

Highland pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wiggins, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wiggins has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Highland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Wiggins might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Highland in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
