Volleyball Recap: Penn Kingsmen vs. Carroll Chargers

Penn lost against Carroll back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Kingsmen took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The match marked the first time this year in which the Kingsmen were not able to get on the board.

While Penn was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-7.

Their offense was headlined by Kambria Burns and Emily Noto, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Carson Petty and her eight assists. Finally, Avery Olsen kept Penn's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Carroll found their leader in sophomore Cala Haffner, who had eight digs and three assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Penn and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Carroll, the win was the 16th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
