Basketball Recap: Los Gatos Skates Past Los Altos with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Los Gatos over Los Altos in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Los Gatos Wildcats blew the Los Altos Eagles out of the water with a 57-20 final score. With the Wildcats ahead 28-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Los Gatos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zach Otoupal, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Martin, who posted nine points and four steals.

Los Gatos smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Los Gatos' victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Los Altos, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Los Gatos will venture away from home to square off against Wilcox at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Los Gatos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Los Altos, they will welcome Mountain View at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Los Altos is facing Mountain View at the right time seeing as Mountain View is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
