Baseball Recap: Chief Sealth Beats Franklin for Their Third Straight Win

Chief Sealth entered their tilt with Franklin on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Quakers with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Seahawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Teo Perala and Peter Sketchly made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Perala tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Meanwhile, Sketchly tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Perala scored a run while going 2-for-5, while Sketchly scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Sketchly also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Chief Sealth got a massive performance out of Nolan Vanbuskirk, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Vanbuskirk has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Brady Murphy was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
