Baseball Recap: Nixon Comes Up Short

Nixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 4-0 to the Rio Grande City Rattlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 last Tuesday.

Nixon's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Rio Grande City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nixon will challenge rival Cigarroa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rio Grande City is set to take on their familiar foe Mission at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
