Recap: Dolores Bears vs. Center Vikings
The Dolores Bears lost to the Center Vikings back in December of 2022, but the Dolores Bears didn't allow the Center Vikings the same satisfaction on Saturday. Dolores walked away with a 54-46 win over Center. With that win, Dolores brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
It was another big night for Mark Palate, who scored 19 points along with 7 steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jonathan Purkat was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 6 rebounds.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Angel Rios, who scored 12 points along with 6 steals. Rios is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Yanixan Padilla, who scored 7 points.
The victory got Dolores back to even at 2-2. As for Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Dolores will head out on the road to face off against Rangely at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calhan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
