Football Recap: Manning Piles Up the Points Against Academic Magnet

Manning had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Academic Magnet Raptors 48-7 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Monarchs, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Manning didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lovell Stevenson and Jordyn Thompson. Stevenson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Academic Magnet lost, don't look at Owen George. Despite the final result, he rushed for 143 yards and one TD while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Manning's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Academic Magnet, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Manning didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 46-24 win against Timberland on the 14th. Academic Magnet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
