Football Recap: Manning Picks Up 14th Straight Win at Home

Manning had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Academic Magnet Raptors 48-7 on Friday. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Academic Magnet still got an impressive performance from Owen George, who rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Manning's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.9 points over those games. As for Academic Magnet, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Manning will square off against Timberland on Friday. The Wolves' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Monarchs' offense will have their work cut out for them. Academic Magnet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
