Volleyball Recap: Brownstown/St. Elmo Makes It Five in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Brownstown/St. Elmo rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats by a score of 2-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brownstown/St. Elmo not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17.

Presley Williams paced Brownstown/St. Elmo's offense, picking up seven kills. Williams got some help from Addie Sasse and her 15 assists. Sasse was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Brownstown/St. Elmo pushed their record up to 20-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, their loss dropped their record down to 12-22.
