Basketball Recap: Chino Valley Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 102-46, which was the final score in the Chino Valley Cougars's tilt against the ALA - West Foothills Guardians on Friday.

ALA - West Foothills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brendon Kurzawski out in front who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five steals. Blake Lunt was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five steals.

Chino Valley's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for ALA - West Foothills, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Chino Valley will head out to square off against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for ALA - West Foothills, they will venture away from home to take on Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully ALA - West Foothills likes a good challenge.
