Evanston lost to Riverton back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Evanston Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Riverton Wolverines, sneaking past 53-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Devils.

Despite the loss, Riverton still got an impressive performance from Eric Smith, who posted 13 points. Malachi Smith was another key player, putting up six points along with six boards and four blocks.

Evanston has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Riverton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Evanston will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kelly Walsh at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Riverton, they will head out to face off against Rock Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Riverton likes a good challenge.
