Baseball Game Preview: Foley Lions vs. Daphne Trojans

For the second straight game, Foley will face off against Daphne. The Lions will venture away from home to take on the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Foley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Foley took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Daphne, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans on Thursday, sneaking past 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Austin Heiden was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Foley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 10-1 (and 7-9 when he doesn't).

Daphne's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Foley, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.
