Volleyball Game Preview: Martinsville Artesians vs. Bloomington South Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Martinsville Artesians and the Bloomington South Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Martinsville is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since April 30th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Franklin Community. The Artesians have struggled against the Grizzly Cubs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Martinsville was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Bloomington South came up short against Greenwood on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Martinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Bloomington South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Everything went Martinsville's way against Bloomington South when the teams last played back in April, as Martinsville made off with a 3-0 victory.
