Batavia hadn't done well against St. Charles East recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bulldogs walked away with an 8-4 win over the Fighting Saints. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 11-10 win on Friday.

The victory made it two in a row for Batavia and bumps their season record up to 10-16-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for St. Charles East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-13.
