Volleyball Recap: Academy of International Studies' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Academy of International Studies had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wolcott RVT Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Leading Academy of International Studies to victory were Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez and Lisa Weinberg. Zuluaga- Gonzalez had 31 digs and two aces, while Weinberg had eight digs and six aces. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Olivia Stewart was another key player, getting 13 digs.

Academy of International Studies' win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Wolcott RVT, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Academy of International Studies will venture away from home to square off against Coventry at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wolcott RVT does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
