Baseball Recap: Declo's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Declo can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lighthouse Christian Lions 8-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Zane Snedaker was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Wallace Durfee also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Declo's win bumped their record up to 2-15. As for Lighthouse Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Declo will face off against Malad at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. Lighthouse Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
