Softball Recap: Riverside Pirates vs. Covington Buccs
Riverside proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Covington Buccs, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 25th.

Emilee Robinson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Jayden Hoffer was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Robinson wasn't the only one making solid contact: Riverside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The Pirates are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Riverside's record is now 10-5. As for Covington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Coming up, Riverside will square off against Milton-Union at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington, they will challenge Miami East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Buccs surely won't give up without a fight.
