Football Recap: Gardner Piles Up the Points Against Assabet Valley RVT

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tyngsborough, Gardner was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-12 victory over the Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Dom Jamison was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 312 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Those 312 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Gardner's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Gardner will welcome Oakmont Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.89 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will face off against Murdock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
