Basketball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Andalusia Bulldogs

Opp and Andalusia are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Bobcats just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Opp took on Georgiana on Friday. The Bobcats took down the Panthers 59-41. While the Bobcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Opp relied on the efforts of Parker Burgess, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds, and DJ Hines, who went 7-for-11 en route to 18 points along with five boards and five steals. The contest was Hines' tenth in a row with at least 17 points. Conner Powers was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Andalusia put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past T.R. Miller with points to spare, taking the game 44-26.

Opp's record now sits at 9-1. As for Andalusia, their record is now 4-0.

Things could have been worse for Opp, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-30 loss to Andalusia when the teams last played back in January. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
