Basketball Recap: High Island Takes a Loss

High Island's tournament run continued when they took on CHSA HomeSchool on Friday. The High Island Cardinals took a blow against the CHSA HomeSchool Wolverines, falling 61-32. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why High Island lost, don't look at Cam'Ron Medina. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. That was a full 81.3% of High Island's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

High Island's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for CHSA HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

High Island wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-46 loss against Lifestyle Christian on the 14th. CHSA HomeSchool will take on Texas Christian in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. CHSA HomeSchool is facing Texas Christian at the right time seeing as Texas Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
