Providence Grove extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Laurel Bernhardt. The Providence Grove Patriots slipped by the Wheatmore Warriors 49-48 on Tuesday thanks in part to Bernhardt, who posted 23 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kolbi Lineberry, who earned eight points. What's more, she also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Providence Grove has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points over those games. As for Wheatmore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Providence Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-36 victory against Eastern Randolph on the 13th. As for Wheatmore, they have also already played their next game, a 48-41 win against Uwharrie Charter Academy on the 13th.
