Recap: Faith Christian Patriots vs. Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders
If the Faith Christian Patriots were feeling good off their 69-17 takedown of the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Faith Christian ended up on the wrong side of a rough 88-62 walloping at the hands of Harrells Christian Academy on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Faith Christian in their matchups with Harrells Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Grant, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grant has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bennie Griffin, who scored 18 points.
Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Harrells Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Oakwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Harrells Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rocky Mount Academy at 6:45 p.m. on January 23rd. Rocky Mount Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
