Volleyball Recap: Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs vs. Tombstone Yellow Jackets
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rancho Solano Prep had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Tombstone Yellow Jackets 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Rancho Solano Prep walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho Solano Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylee Payne, who had nine digs and 17 assists. Payne has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bree Howard, who had four digs and two aces.
Rancho Solano Prep's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-14. As for Tombstone, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-12.
Rancho Solano Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Fountain Hills on the 9th. Tombstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
