Baseball Recap: Holmes Wins Going Away Against North Pitt

Holmes got themselves on the board against North Pitt on Thursday, but North Pitt never followed suit. Everything went their way against the North Pitt Panthers as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Aces in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Fisher Bobbitt made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Darius Oliver, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Ashton Stallings was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Holmes was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Holmes' record now sits at 3-1. As for North Pitt, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-2.
