Baseball Game Preview: New Lothrop Hornets vs. St. Patrick Shamrocks

For the second straight game, New Lothrop will face off against St. Patrick. The Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Shamrocks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Lothrop is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

New Lothrop is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since April 11th on Saturday. They came up short against St. Patrick, falling 13-3.

Zane Rumisek made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Alex Hughes was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

The victory was the sixth in a row for St. Patrick, bringing their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for New Lothrop, they dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
