Football Game Preview: Campbell County Camels vs. East Thunderbirds + How To Watch

Campbell County is 1-9 against East since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Camels will take on the Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Campbell County 14.1, East 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Campbell County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Sheridan, who was ranked 11th at the time (Campbell County was ranked 16th). The Camels lost to the Broncs at home by a 28-10 margin on Friday. The contest marked the Camels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, East came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the TIGERS 49-3. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Campbell County fell to 7-1. As for East, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Campbell County and East were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but Campbell County suffered an agonizing 35-34 defeat. Can the Camels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
