Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside lost against St. John's/Tipton Catholic back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Blujays. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Lakeside ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21.

Jaycee Remus paced Lakeside's offense, picking up five kills. Remus got some help from Kaylee Otte and her six assists. Otte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lakeside now has a losing record of 6-7. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Lakeside and St. John's/Tipton Catholic will both be playing Osborne the next time they take the court. The Blujays will head out to face the Bulldogs at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
