Baseball Recap: Albemarle School Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Albemarle School's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Lawrence Academy Warriors on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 17-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Albemarle School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder DeBerry, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Albemarle School and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Lawrence Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Lawrence Academy will host Camden County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Albemarle School will be paying especially close attention to Lawrence Academy's game: after Lawrence Academy faces off against Camden County, they'll take on Albemarle School again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
