Sebastopol came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Lake Hornets get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Savannah Crout, who gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Lake off the board. With that strong performance, Crout is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kadence Robertson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Marlee Smith was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Sebastopol hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive matchups.

Sebastopol pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lake, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebastopol will venture away from home to take on Eupora at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake, they will head out to face off against Bay Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
