Baseball Recap: Colton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Colton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pomeroy Pirates by a score of 5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Tanner Baerlocher was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Xavier Druffel, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Colton's record now sits at 8-6. As for Pomeroy, they moved to 6-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Colton beat the Pirates by a score of 19-9 later that day.
