George Washington and Glass are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The George Washington Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Glass Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with George Washington sitting on five straight wins and Glass on 14.

George Washington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 68-59 victory over Salem. 68 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Glass was able to grind out a solid victory over Mecklenburg County on Monday, taking the game 59-48. Given the Hilltoppers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Phoenix are ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

George Washington pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points over those games. As for Glass, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.

Things could have been worse for George Washington, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-43 loss to Glass when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can George Washington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
