Basketball Recap: Bishop Watterson Comes Up Short

Bishop Watterson was the 55-47 winner over Bishop Hartley when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop Watterson Eagles took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Hartley Hawks on Thursday.

Bishop Watterson's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-8. As for Bishop Hartley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bishop Watterson Eagles duke it out with the Big Walnut Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bishop Hartley, they will square off against Columbus Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Hartley is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
