On Friday, Shadow Ridge faced Centennial in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Shadow Ridge Mustangs breezed by the Centennial Bulldogs to the tune of 31-0. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
A big part of Shadow Ridge's victory came down to the chemistry between Aubree Davis and her top target Jaylani Palmer. Davis threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns while Palmer gained 150 total yards and two touchdowns. Davis is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna McDow, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Shadow Ridge pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.0 points per game. Shadow Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 18-14 loss against Palo Verde on the 3rd. Centennial has also already played their next contest, a 27-6 defeat against Southeast Career Tech on the 3rd.
