Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Justin Palacios and Keilan Robinson Lead Hooker to Victory

Hooker had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cashion Wildcats as they made off with a 49-28 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hooker was led to victory by Keilan Robinson and Justin Palacios. Robinson rushed for 207 yards and six TDs while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, while Palacios rushed for 259 yards and one score while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Palacios is now averaging an impressive 119.7 rushing yards per game.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hooker was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 505 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Hooker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of James Curtis and Robinson.

Hooker's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cashion, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.

Coming up, Hooker will square off against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Cashion, they will welcome Crescent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
