Volleyball Recap: East Carteret Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

East Carteret had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Swansboro Pirates, falling 3-0. The Mariners haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-7, 25-16.

Skyler Bordeaux paced East Carteret's offense, picking up four kills. Bordeaux got some help from Kolby Piner and her 16 assists.

East Carteret has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against West Carteret on the 12th. Swansboro has also already played their next game (against White Oak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
