Cibola has gone a perfect 4-0 against Farmington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scorpions at 3:30 p.m. Cibola will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Cibola is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Rio Rancho, who was ranked tenth at the time (Cibola was ranked fourth). The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Rams 3-2 on Friday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Farmington was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Volcano Vista.

Farmington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Desiree Quiver, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Cibola's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Farmington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11-1 record this season.

Cibola beat Farmington 7-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Scorpions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
