Baseball Game Preview: Botkins Trojans vs. Fort Loramie Redskins

Botkins is 0-10 against Fort Loramie since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Trojans will head out to take on the Redskins at 5:00 p.m. Botkins will be strutting in after a win while Fort Loramie will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Botkins beat Ansonia 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Elijah Schuller and Quin Koenig did most of the damage at the plate: Schuller scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Koenig scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Corey Koenig was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Fort Loramie came up short against Coldwater on Tuesday and fell 7-2. The Redskins have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Botkins now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fort Loramie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Botkins might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Fort Loramie in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
