Mountain View faced Timberline in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mavericks lost 12-2 to the Wolves. The Mavericks' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tayelynn Puyleart, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
