Baseball Game Preview: St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons vs. Grosse Ile Devils

For the second straight game, St. Mary Catholic Central will face off against Grosse Ile. The Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Mary Catholic Central has three straight wins, Grosse Ile has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, St. Mary Catholic Central beat Grosse Ile 9-5.

For Grosse Ile's part, Rocco Pascuzzi and Max Myers did some serious damage despite the final result: Pascuzzi went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Myers went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Myers is becoming a predictor of the Devils' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-9 when he doesn't). Nick Smith also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Grosse Ile's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
